- Self-Closing - The System M pivot hinge is self-closing. This means that the door automatically moves towards the 0° position after being opened. The pivot door moves elegantly through the entire motion. Absolute control with FritsJurgens Inside
- Soft Close - The soft close function in System M makes the door move in a single fluent motion. Effortlessly and as soft as a whisper the door elegantly closes.
- Wall Protection - When a door fitted with the FritsJurgens System M pivot hinge is opened, System M protects the door against touching the wall because of the opening damping. The hydraulic backcheck in System M ensures the pivot door is slowed down strongly when reaching 70° to prevent touching the wall. The opening damping makes the door open elegantly.
- Spatial Impact - A pivot door is a design statement with a large spatial impact. Therefore, the hinges are double acting, which means they open towards both sides. By simply keeping the door still at 0°, 90° or -90° the door will hold these positions, allowing you to determine the spatial impact of your pivot door.
- With the touch of a finger - With just the touch of a finger, the door is set into motion. An effortless experience and a single fluent movement. Perfectly balanced.
- Double acting - The System M pivot hinge is double acting. This means that the pivot doors can be opened and put into hold positions towards both sides. This gives you the freedom to determine the use of the pivot doors and the impact they have on the space.
Components
Top pivot
The top pivot is mounted into the top of the door. It uses a so-called pinhole connection, in which the pin is fixed to the top pivot and goes into the hole in the ceiling plate when the door is placed.
FritsJurgens offers two types of top pivots: Top pivot Regular and Top pivot Cable Grommet. The top pivot Cable Grommet is designed to enable easy wiring through the door for lighting or electronic security.
Bottom pivot
The bottom pivot is the pivot mechanism and driver of the pivot door and is fitted on the bottom side of the door. The pivot mechanism therefore is virtually invisible. FritsJurgens bottom pivots have a load-bearing capacity for pivot doors up to 500 Kg.
The bottom pivot offers several features, depending on the choice of bottom pivot, such as: hold positions, self-closing, damper control, latch control, 30° speed control, and free swing.
The bottom pivot placement determines the spatial impact that the pivot door will have on its surroundings. Besides a more regular side placement to create pivot doors, FritsJurgens pivot hinges are also suitable for 360-degree rotating panels or walls.
Ceiling plate
The ceiling plate is fitted in the ceiling, where the pin of the top pivot seamlessly fits into the hole in the ceiling plate. The ceiling plate is available in two finishes: brushed stainless steel and black.
Floor plate
Every FritsJurgens floor plate is mounted 8 mm on the floor. This is sufficient for almost every floor type and makes it possible to combine FritsJurgens’ hinges with floor heating. Two longer, shortenable floor plate pins of 30 mm are included with the square floor plate designs.
There are various floor plates available for System M+. The standard floor plate is available in four designs: brushed stainless steel (Series 420) and PVD black in a round and square version. Also available is floor plate Flush, which can be integrated into thresholds and interior floors. The floor plates by FritsJurgens are made of solid tempered steel and, therefore, entirely scratch-resistant.
