Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with M. M. Noorbhoy & Co. We strive to provide a smooth and transparent delivery process for all our customers. Below is an outline of our shipping policies:


General Shipping Information

Shipping Areas:

  • We deliver within Sri Lanka only.

  • There are no restrictions on delivery locations.

Delivery Times:

  • Order Processing: Orders are processed and prepared within 2 hours.

  • Dispatch Timelines:

    • Long-Distance Deliveries: Orders are handed over to the courier service on the same day or the following day, depending on courier pickup.

    • Close-Range Deliveries (Colombo & Suburbs): Dispatched via PickMe Flash or through our showroom’s local delivery service based on vehicle availability.

  • Expedited Shipping: Available for Colombo and suburbs at no additional cost via PickMe Flash.


Shipping Methods

We use the following delivery methods:

  • Standard Courier Services: Fardar and Pronto.

  • PickMe Flash: For close-range and expedited deliveries.

  • Transport Services: For oversized items requiring collection from the transport service destination.

Weight Calculations:

  • Shipping charges are calculated based on:

    • Gross Weight for smaller items like waste bins and door handles.

    • Dimensional Weight for larger items like kitchen sinks and cloth drying racks, subject to courier service acceptance.


Shipping Costs

Rate Structure:

  • Shipping costs are primarily weight-based.

    • Gross Weight: Fixed rate.

    • Dimensional Weight: Rate varies; discrepancies will be communicated to the customer.

Oversized Items (e.g., Cloth Drying Racks):

  • Colombo & Suburbs: Delivered via PickMe Flash or our delivery vehicle.

  • Long-Distance: Handled by courier or transport service; customers collect items from the transport service destination.


Order Fulfillment

Processing Times:

  • Orders are prepared within 2 hours of receipt.

Shipping Days:

  • Orders are shipped within 3 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

Order Tracking:

  • Customers will receive tracking details for:

    • Deliveries via courier services or PickMe Flash.

    • Transport Service Deliveries: Tracking details are unavailable.


Returns and Issues

Damaged or Missing Items:

  • Pre-dispatch Check: All items are thoroughly inspected, including accessories, in a CCTV-monitored area.

  • Post-delivery Claims: If an item is damaged or missing, the customer must return the item to us. We will replace it, but the return and re-shipping charges will be borne by the customer.

Refunds and Replacements:

  • We offer replacements for damaged items and refunds for undeliverable packages as detailed below.

Undeliverable Packages:

  • If a package is undeliverable due to incorrect address or unclaimed delivery, we will:

    • Attempt re-delivery or arrange pickup from one of our showrooms.

    • Refund the shipping charges if pickup is opted.


Special Policies

Custom Orders or Bulk Purchases:

  • For bulk or custom orders, free shipping is offered based on the order value.

Eco-Friendly Packaging:

  • We use eco-friendly packaging for all orders, except sellotape. We are actively working to transition to biodegradable sellotape.
